	August 18, 2005 Washington, DC Admiral K9 Academy (AK9A) participated in the 2005 InfraGard National Conference in Washington, DC. AK9A representatives, Bill Habacivch, Ted Hartz, and Jeanne and Glenn Rambo made a presentation titled “Canines and Port Safety” to representatives of corporations and government agencies. InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.

Admiral K9 Academy has signed a three-year agreement to partner with GE IonTrack, Inc., of Wilmington, MA, to develop new techniques to employ high technology using canines in a variety of sensitive security areas including ports, refineries, and power plants.

GE Ion Track, a division of the General Electric Company, designs and manufactures explosives and narcotics detection products that are renowned for superb sensitivity and ease of use. GE Ion Track detection and identification systems are deployed in more than 120 countries — in airports, customs checkpoints, border crossings, prisons, and a wide range of other facilities.
